SMS

Reach every customer, on any phone

SMS needs no app and no data plan, so it gets through where nothing else does. 2way collects verified numbers in your stores and on your site, sends your campaigns by SMS, and shows the revenue each message brings back.

Why SMS

The channel that always gets through

In the United States and Canada, SMS is the only way to market to a phone. Everywhere else it carries your one-time codes and catches the contacts other channels miss.

Works on every phone

No app to install and nothing to update. If the customer has a phone number, the message arrives.

The safety net for other channels

Contacts without WhatsApp or Viber get the same campaign by SMS, so nobody on your list is left out.

Codes in seconds

A personal discount code lands seconds after sign-up. The cashier scans it at the till, and every code is unique, so you know who used it and when.

Your brand as the sender

Messages arrive under your brand name where the market allows it, and from a registered number in the United States and Canada.

Registration handled

We register your brand and campaigns with the carriers in each market, including 10DLC in the United States. Your team fills in nothing.

Revenue per message

Every redeemed code ties a message to a sale, so SMS shows up in your report as revenue, not as clicks.

Promotions

Fill the store on a slow Tuesday

Send a same-day offer with a link on your own domain. It reaches the lock screen, so people see it while the offer still runs.

Store codes

Codes that bring people through the door

Every contact gets a unique discount code by SMS. The cashier scans it at checkout, so you know which message brought which sale.

Reminders

Bring back the unused code

Customers who have not used their code get a reminder after 7 and 21 days. The same works for an abandoned basket.

Order updates

Updates customers reply to

Send an order confirmation and a shipping notice with tracking. When a customer replies, the message reaches your support team.

In every message

Short, and built to be acted on

An SMS is 160 characters, so every part of it has a job: who it is from, what the offer is, and where to tap.

Link

A link they recognize

Short links run on your own domain, so customers know the sender before they tap.

A code of their own

Each contact gets a unique code, tracked from the message to the till.

Results

What SMS returns on a verified list

These numbers come from 2way customers, not from market averages. The pattern is the same each time: a smaller list of verified contacts beats a larger list of unverified ones.

How it works

From first tap to first sale

01

Collect verified opt-ins

Customers sign up with an NFC tap or QR code in store, or a popup online, and confirm with a one-time code sent by SMS.

02

We register your sender

2way registers your brand and campaigns with the carriers in each market, so messages are delivered and not filtered.

03

Send campaigns

STUDIO drafts the calendar and the copy per market. Your team approves every message before it goes out.

04

See the revenue

Redeemed codes and clicks are tracked per contact, per store and per campaign.

Markets

Where SMS is the right channel

SMS leads where the rules or the habits call for it. In every other market it still sends your one-time codes and backs up WhatsApp and Viber.

SMS questions

Is SMS too expensive for campaigns?

In most of Europe it is, which is why we send campaigns there on WhatsApp or Viber. SMS is for the markets where it is the right channel, for one-time codes, and for contacts the other channels cannot reach. A message to a customer who opted in also costs less in the end than a cheap one to a number nobody verified.

Do we need to register anything with the carriers?

There is nothing to set up on your side. In the United States we register your brand and campaigns under 10DLC. In other markets we register your sender name where it is required.

Can customers reply to our messages?

Yes. Replies arrive in the inbox your support team already works in, next to web chats, and the answer goes back out as an SMS.

How do opt-outs and quiet hours work?

Opt-out is automatic and applies across every channel. In the United States, send windows follow the recipient's own time zone, state by state, so a campaign scheduled in Europe cannot land at 6 a.m. in California.

Should we use SMS or WhatsApp?

It depends on the market, and you do not have to pick one. We choose the channel country by country with you, and contacts without WhatsApp or Viber get the same campaign by SMS.

Test SMS on one market first

Bring one market and one KPI to a 30-minute call. We will tell you honestly whether SMS is likely to move it.
