Mall kiosks with no room for a sign-up desk collect 1,000 contacts a month

What it produced
points of sale across Poland, islands and mall units
verified contacts collected per month
extra steps for staff at the counter
compatible tags, produced specifically for this deployment
The situation
SFD sells sports nutrition through nearly 50 points of sale across Poland, a mix of retail islands and small units inside shopping centers. Small footprints, high footfall, short interactions. There is no room for a tablet, a queue or a loyalty pitch.
What was deployed
Branded NFC stickers on the counter terminals at every location, each clearly marked so a customer knows what it is without being told. Tap, enter a number, confirm the code, done. The format suits a kiosk better than any staffed sign-up process, because it needs nothing from the person behind the counter.
The result
Around 1,000 verified contacts a month across the network, with no extra steps for staff at the counter.
The detail that made it possible
Standard NFC tags do not work on metal. The surface detunes the antenna and the tap simply fails, which is why NFC deployments in retail quietly die on counters, terminals and fixtures. We produced metal-compatible tags for SFD, so the stickers could go exactly where customers already look rather than somewhere convenient for the hardware.
Ask any NFC vendor about metal. It is the difference between a rollout that works on the counter and one that has to be relocated to a poster on the wall, where nobody taps it.
